ARP Advanced Accreditation with the National Autistic Society

We are proud to share that our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) has been awarded the Advanced Specialist Accreditation by the National Autistic Society—a recognition given only to provisions that exemplify the very best practice in supporting autistic children. The assessor praised our commitment to creating calm, inclusive and sensory-friendly learning spaces, our use of personalised communication approaches (from visual supports to Makaton and AAC), and the way children are encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and self-advocacy through meaningful daily routines and real-life learning experiences. Parent and pupil voices also highlighted the ARP as a place where children feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.

This award reflects the dedication, expertise, and compassion of the whole team—led by Mrs Browne and Ms Patti—whose daily work makes the ARP such a special place. It is the result of years of collaboration between staff, families, therapists, governors and pupils themselves, and stands as a testament to the power of teamwork and shared vision. Most importantly, it affirms what we see every day: children growing in confidence, joy, and independence within a community that values and celebrates them.
