Religious Education
The Education Reform Act 1988 requires that “Religious Education shall reflect the fact that the religious traditions in Britain are in the main Christian whilst taking account of the teaching and practices of the other principal religions represented in Great Britain”.
Religious education is taught through the London Borough of Ealing agreed syllabus, where children develop an insight into their own and different religions. Acts of collective worship takes place in the school hall or the classroom. Parents/carers do have the right to withdraw their children from religious education and collective worship; a letter requesting this should be addressed to the Headteacher.
